On Pentecost Sunday we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of the Christian Church.  We also celebrate with our confirmation candidates and their families the Confirmation Rite where the candidates renew the promises God made to them in their baptism and publicly make confession of their faith in Jesus Christ.
