Worship

We worship the living Triune God – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Worship is the life of the Christian. The members of Hope gather as a family weekly to engage in worship. And we encourage whole families to worship together as a family. The Christian life is always a pattern of receiving the daily gifts of life, forgiveness and salvation through Christ, and everything we need for our body and soul. At the same time, the Christian life is a pattern of giving praise to God for all he has done for us and going to our Heavenly Father in prayer with our thanks and our needs. The members of Hope gather weekly to engage in worship.

Together, we participate the “dialog” of worship between God and his children. In worship, God speaks through Word and Sacrament – and his children listen. Likewise, we speak through praise and prayer – and God listens. Worship is not a spectator sport. It is always involves participation. Hope uses the structure of traditional liturgical worship to give structure to the dialog between God and his children. When we come together for worship, Christ is always with us – present as he has promised us in his Word and in his Sacraments: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
